Jason Aldean Bio

Country music sensation, Jason Aldean, was born Jason Aldine Williams in Macon, Georgia on February 28th, 1977.  Aldean's parents divorced when he was only three years old, and was raised mainly by his mother in Macon, GA.  Aldean would spend summers with his father in Homestead, Florida. It was there that he would learn about music and how to play the guitar. Before Aldean's father left for work every day, he would outline guitar chords on a notebook paper for Jason to learn. Jason would practice at home all day, and when his father came home from work, he would take out his own guitar and the two would play together for hours.

Aldean's parents say that Jason became obsessed with live performing at a young age after watching the country music awards on TV. He began performing at the local VFW Hall  in Macon, Georgia at only 14 years old. He sang two country songs and admits that he almost  had to be dragged off stage, he was hooked on performing from that point on.  At age 15, Aldean joined the house band at a night spot in Macon called the Nashville South.

With the help of his father, Aldean and his band began booking gigs at college towns in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. It was at this time that Aldean began writing his own music with the help of his bandmate Justin Weaver. In 1998 he performed his own songs at a night club in Atlanta called The Buckboard. That same night, Aldean was approached by Michael Knox, who, at the time, was an agent with the Warner-Chappell song-publishing company.  After signing with Warner-Chappell, Aldean moved to Nashville,TN at the age of 21. One month after moving to Nashville, Aldean was offered a recording contract but was soon dropped.  He then signed with another label but was dropped again in 2000. Aldean's last straw was becoming a performer at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville where Aldean was promised the presence of talent scouts who never arrived. Finally, Lawrence Mathis took interest at one of Aldean's showcases at the Wildhorse Saloon.  Mathis then agreed to sign as Aldean's first manager. A still frustrated Aldean gave himself 6 months, if he had no serious success he would leave Nashville and return to his home in Georgia. Five weeks later he was offered a recording contract with Broken Bow Records in Nashville.

Jason Aldean's first release on Broken Bow Records was the self titled album, Jason Aldean, released in 2005. The first single off of the album was "Hicktown" and reached #10 on the Billboard Hot Country songs.  The ablum also produced the single "Why", which went to #1 on the charts, as well as "Amarillo Sky", which went to #4.  "Amaraillo Sky" was nominated for ACM Song of the Year and Video of the Year in 2006.  Aldean won Top New Male Voculist at the 2006 Academy of Country Music Awards. The album, Jason Aldean went on to sell over 1 million copies and was certified platinum.

Aldean's second album, Relentless, was released in May 2007. The first single off the album was "Johnny Cash" and peaked at #6 on the charts. The next single, "Laughed Until We Cried" became Aldean's fifth consecutive top 10 hit. Relentless sold less copies than Aldean's debut album, but has been certified gold by the RIAA.

Aldean released the single "She's Country" to radio in December 2008, it was the first single to his upcoming third album, Wide Open, which was released in April 2009. The album debuted at #2 on the country charts. "She's Country" became Aldean's first Top 40 Hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The next single, "Big Green Tractor", became Aldean's third #1 hit. "The Truth" became the albums third consecutive #1 hit, and the fourth single, "Crazy Town", peaked at #2 on the country charts.

Aldean released the single, "My Kinda Party", in August 2010. It was the leadoff single for the album of the same name, released in November 2010, and marked as Aldean's tenth top ten country hit. He collaborated with Kelly Clarkson on the duet, "Don't You Wanna Stay", which became Aldean's fifth #1 hit. My Kinda Party went platinum in March 2011.

Aldean is currently touring the country, headling shows across the nation and has no plans of stopping until December 2011.  Inseats.com has the best premiere tickets to each and every show along Jason Aldean's tour.
